Papa Julio's Mexican Grill and Bar: Authentic Mexican Cuisine in Seneca, SC

This was a very nice place! The food was good! Drink was great! Service was excellent! My and my sister and best friend went pretty late but it was great! The owner I think he was gave us a shot on the house! Definitely will go back next trip!

We enjoyed lunch with friends. Parked right by the front door. Staff was friendly. It ‘s decorated really cute. They advertised lots of specials on the tv screen by us (ladies night, game night, and drink specials). I ordered Pollo Loco, it was spicier than my local Mexican restaurant.

Stopped in this place so that we could have lunch at a group of 12 of us. The service was good. The food was good. I would recommend it for anybody who enjoys Mexican food.

All you can eat crab legs. It’s definitely not that because they are so slow bringing them out. At least 30 mins in between each serving The manager is so sweet. Very nice place. The crab legs are great but. We got here at 5:20. The beginning of the serving crab legs start at 6:00. We got our first order at 5:55 it was 2 crab clusters and your choice of fries or baked potato. At 6:08 we put in another order it took until 6:40 to get our second order. 3rd order put in at 6:55. We are still waiting. We drove 40 minutes and will not be coming back. It should not take this long. I’m extremely disappointed in how long this takes. It is now 7:39 just now getting order. Picture is the amount you get. So u can finish these in 5 to 10 mins easy.

All of the staff are very polite and accommodating. We usually eat here anytime We're intown and it always tatse Great/perfect! Great Atmosphere!!

Certified gem in Seneca, South Carolina. The atmosphere is great the second you walk in the door. Our waitress was bubbly, smiling, and humming to the music. The chips were hot, salsa fresh, and they serve their beans with queso already mixed in (so good). I ordered Fajitas Del Mar and could not have been happier. The amount, size, and taste of the shrimp were great. The scallops were perfectly cooked, and being that I work in a kitchen I can tell you just how easy it is to overcook scallops. The fish was moist and seasoned just right. There was absolutely no flaw in this dish. Drink menu has many options and they are the home of the Scorpion shot which I highly recommend if you want an adult beverage. Price point is more than fair for the quality and quantity received. If you live in the upstate of South Carolina you must try Papa Julio’s. Word of mouth brought me and I’ll be returning as well as recommending.

This is one of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever been to. Loved the atmosphere. The music playlist is awesome. The service was on point. The only thing is my 9 year old son didn't like the hot dog . So I told him that's what he gets for ordering a hot dog at a Mexican restaurant.

GREAT AUTHENTIC MEXICAN RESTAURANT - Just moved to Seneca from California and have been looking for a great (not good) authentic Mexican restaurant and so excited we have found it! This is our third time at Papa Julio's and each time is consistently perfect. Love the location (plenty of parking), decor (so fun with all the TVs (sports and telenovelas) and chandlers), bar, service, and of course quality of food and drinks. Love me a skinny Marg and the spicy one is off the charts too. The chips are just perfect texture and not too oily and are always warm. Great with the bean dip and salsa! So far we had their nachos (not really traditional, but man...they are so flavorful (chix or beef layered by chilis, corn, bean, cheese, tomatoes, and sour cream) - a must to order! Burritos are HUGE and so yummy. Enchiladas are classically flavorful with the smooth red sauce and cheese. Tacos (crispy or soft) are full with meat and all the sides you want. Menu is extensive and everything looks amazing and has tasted great thus far! Service is attentive and never feel rushed. Orders are always accurate. I usually leave with a bag in hand as portions are generous and always leave so full. Leftovers are great for late night snacks. Looking forward to continuing to frequent this establishment! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
